As a member of our team you will be expected to collect and deliver a wide range of motor vehicles ranging from a Maserati to a Mini from various destinations within the UK. All vehicles are driven under trade plates and therefore previous experience is desirable however, there may well be an opportunity for you join our team and fulfil that new challenge.
Applicants must be aged 30 or over, of smart appearance and possess excellent interpersonal skills.

The Company
Cargoes have a fantastic opportunity for self-employed plate drivers to join our team. Cargoes have been successfully delivering prestigious logistic solutions since 2003 and are recruiting across the UK to support their continued growth.
We offer a sustainable, reliable and flexible sub-contract driving position based from your home address.
Full training is provided and we are committed to giving drivers support 24/7 through our dedicated team of experienced logistic controllers.
The Job
You will collect and deliver vehicles with trade plates from various locations across the UK, including auction sites, private addresses, dealerships and blue chip company locations. Travelling between deliveries and collections will require utilising a mix of public transport, plating and lifts with other drivers.
In general you will take a vehicle home most nights, where you will need a secure off road parking space such as a driveway to store, before delivering early the following morning.
You’ll be driving a wide variety of vehicles from brand new prestige cars to light commercial vehicles. The provided Samsung tablet has the inspection application built in and allows the work to be uploaded to the head office in Northampton. This also enables live tracking so the controllers are able to proactively help coordinate drivers to work together.
You will need to have a confident professional approach to customer service to succeed in this position.
You are looking for a customer facing role that enables you to travel extensively around the UK. You will need to be a proactive, self-motivated and a reliable individual who is capable of navigating around the country by car, public transport as well as plating when necessary.
The Driver
You are over 30 (for insurance purposes) and have held a full UK licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 penalty points (and have no serious existing convictions, i.e. IN10, DR10 TT9). You must have off road parking/driveway.
